Mark is the Admissions Counselor at Utopia Cancer Center. He first joined Utopia in 2014 as a Patient Care Coordinator. Mark attended the University of South Florida where he studied sports medicine. After losing his leg in a boating accident, Mark went on to become an orthotic and prosthetic technician building artificial limbs. As a sports enthusiast, Mark wanted to be more active and became certified as a personal trainer. He began working at the YMCA where he also become the Relations Manager. During this time, he also received certifications in CPR and AED. Mark assists prospective patients who are considering our clinic for their cancer treatment by explaining the protocol and working out the logistics of traveling, accommodations and funding the cost. Empowering people to make important health decisions is a privilege he does not take for granted. He is a Florida native and has lived in the Tampa Bay Area his entire life. On the weekends, Mark explores trails on his bike and enjoys playing guitar.
