Shayla is a registered nurse at Utopia Cancer Center. Her holistic journey began 26 years ago when she was introduced to an amazing world of herbs and natural living. This turning point opened her up to adventure, exploration and experimentation. She initially made her way into massage school and that led her to nursing school. She landed on an oncology floor for her first nursing job. Although she learned a vast amount of information and skills, it did not resonate with her spirit. The next 10 years brought a wealth of knowledge and personal work in Hospice. She is grateful for the opportunity to have cared for these patients/families during such a vulnerable and sacred part of their lives. Her next career move brought her to Utopia Cancer Center. She is honored to work alongside and witness the amazing journey of our patients and is excited to come to work every day.
