Immunotherapy

Here are a few facts about the immune system and cancer. For most of your life, your immune system successfully fought cancerous cells, killing them as they developed. That’s its job. In fact, the only job Natural Killer cells have is to kill cancer cells and viruses.  When the body detects cancer cells, unlike when you have a cold or the flu, often times it doesn’t fight back. Cancer has managed to disguise itself from the immune system, allowing cancerous cells to grow, spread and thrive.

Based on the research of Nobel Prize winning German physician and scientist, Otto Warburg, we know that all cancer cells primarily use a primitive method of producing energy from sugar, anaerobic glycolysis, a form of fermentation, producing lactic acid as the end product. Cancer requires sugar for energy and takes up sugar readily.

We also know from Dr. Warburg’s research that Cancer forms due to lack of sufficient oxygen. Cells that are starved of oxygen convert to anaerobic glycolysis in order to survive. Further, they must protect themselves from the immune system. They do this by producing Nagalase.

Nagalase is an enzyme made by all cancer cells and viruses (HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, influenza, herpes, Epstein-Barr virus, and others). Its official chemical name is alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase. Nagalase has the ability to inhibit the production of and hide the cancer cells and viruses from the immune macrophages and the natural killer cells. It does this by destroying the cluster of cytoproteins required to activate the immune cells.

The immunotherapy for cancer we offer in our program is a “fake” sugar that the cancer cell sees as an energy source but when absorbed by the cancer cell, it can literally shut down the production of Nagalase. With Nagalase ceasing, the macrophages of the innate immune system once again recognize the now-sick, unprotected, dysfunctional cell and dispose of them as they would any other cells that are at the end of their life cycle.  This immunotherapy for cancer has simply removed the cloak protecting cancer cells, allowing the body’s own natural immune response to work as it should.

We believe our integrative approach using immune enhancement and immunotherapy for cancer can benefit all cancer patients, whether traditional treatments have already been performed or you have just been diagnosed and looking for natural alternatives. It is important to remember that traditional treatments (chemotherapy) may destroy some cancer cells/tumors, but will certainly also weaken/devastate your immune system. So even if you are fortunate enough to be deemed cancer free by your oncologist, you still require a healthy immune system to finish the job and keep you cancer free. If you don’t revive the immune function, the cancer will just keep roaring back.
