Does Utopia Cancer Center accept children as patients?

Due to the treatments involved in our cancer programs we only accept patients above the age of 17. Exceptions can be made taking the patient’s health concerns into account, but this is only done on a case by case basis. Please call us to discuss your child’s healthcare needs.

May I bring a companion with me?

Definitely. We encourage our patients to bring friends or family members with them. We also offer guidance to these caregivers and instruct them on caring for the health of another, as well as obtain a healthy lifestyle of their own.

Do you offer any financial assistance programs to help cover the cost of my treatment?

We try to care for our patients’ financial means as well as for their health. However we do not have a lending license to allow us to offer loans, and we do not have access to any foundations and grants as of yet. Do not be discouraged from looking for aid in your local area. We can recommend Care Credit as one such opportunity, it works similarly to a credit card but is designed specifically for healthcare. You can apply online at carecredit.com.  We also work with Life Guide, Life Credit and Abacus Settlements that are able to utilize your existing life insurance policy to fund your cancer treatments.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express), Care Credit (credit card for healthcare), bank’s cashier’s check and wire transfers. Feel free to use any of these to pay for our services.

Does Utopia Cancer Center accept insurance?

We have no direct dealings with insurance companies. As our treatment methods are not usually provided in the traditional medical setting, many insurance companies do not deem it necessary to provide coverage and refuse to bill/process our services.

When do I pay for my treatment program?

A diagnosis of cancer usually carries a severe economic burden on any person. At Utopia Cancer Center, we understand the financial hardships our patients are facing and we try to ease any difficulties you might be experiencing. We allow our patients to pay on a week to week basis, this allows us to provide them with some treatment even if they are unable to complete their entire programs. Payment for the first week of treatment is due on arrival to the clinic, and the beginning of your journey to better health.

What happens after the treatment program?

Upon completion of the initial portion of your program we will provide you with 90 days of continued follow up which includes access to our office staff and laboratory orders so that you may continue to have your blood drawn regardless of where you live.  The orders will stipulate that the results be forwarded to our office and we will then contact you and discuss the results with you.  A list of recommended vitamins and supplements will also be provided as well as recommendations from the various providers.

How will I know if the program is working?

Baseline tests such as cancer markers and evaluations are performed upon beginning treatment. Laboratory tests are performed and reviewed on a weekly basis. As you near the completion of the program, baseline tests are repeated and compared to earlier studies. Patient compliance is key here. Most patients who adhere to our protocols will begin to notice a difference in both physical and emotional health within the first few weeks.

What will my Comprehensive Treatment Plan include?

Upon arriving at Utopia Canter Center you will meet with Dr. Garcia so that he may assess your immediate needs as well as comprise an individualized Comprehensive Treatment Plan. Prior to initiating treatment, an in-depth orientation is given by a patient care coordinator.  As part of the orientation, the essential program materials and nutraceuticals are reviewed in detail. This orientation will assist the patient in comprehending the science and benefits behind the various therapies they will be receiving as well as the diagnostic studies, lab work and personalized daily appointment schedule. Treatment plans may include Daily Intravenous Infusions, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Colon Hydrotherapy, Individual Emotional Counseling and Group Counseling, Hyperthermia via FAR-Infrared Sauna, Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment and Magnetic Oxygen Treatment. We offer radio frequency therapies in the form of Rife and Mulit-Wave Oscillator therapy.

How long is the treatment program?

While our treatment program is designed for an average duration of 6-8 weeks, each patient that comes to Utopia Cancer Center is treated as an individual. Some patients arrive shortly after being diagnosed. Then there are those who have been battling their condition for years having failed toxic alternatives such as chemotherapy and radiation. Based on their particular set of circumstances, some patients may find it necessary to extend their stay accordingly.

Is there any specific day of the week I should arrive at?

We recommend our patients start their treatment programs on Mondays. It allows us to provide a full orientation and treatment plan for the next 5 consecutive days.

How far in advance should I book a reservation?

We suggest booking a reservation at least two weeks before your desired arrival date. We can, nevertheless, usually accommodate short notice and immediate admissions.

Where are you located?

Utopia Cancer Center is located in Oldsmar, on the West Coast of Florida.  The nearest airport is Tampa International Airport located approximately 20 minutes from our Center.  We are conveniently located between Tampa and the white sand beaches of Pinellas County.
